The Wharf & Southwest

Revel in the Wharf, DC’s newest entertainment district, as we explore the history of the District and its Southwest quadrant. Learn about the founding of the District as a federal territory and seat of national government, the legacy of the slave trade and urban renewal in Washington, and how this waterfront market became the oldest, continuously operating one of its kind in the nation.

Meet here: 475 L'Enfant Plaza SW, in front of the USPS Headquarters building. Map link.
